The high-speed, high-powered PD-5 is the fastest and lightest NSA/CSS EPL-listed hard drive destroyer on the market. Designed to meet evolving technology challenges, its amplified crushing power mangles hard drives in under 20 seconds, including the latest helium (He) drives. Designed for use inside data centers and office environments, the energy-efficient PD-5 destroys multiple drives at one time with no messy hydraulics.
Add the optional SSD-1 Solid-State Destroyer and IRONCLAD Destruction Verification System to automatically generate Certificates of Destruction with JPG images of the destroyed media.
NSA Listed Hard Drive Destruction
Meeting the NSA CSS Evaluated Products List requirement for Hard Disk Drive Destruction Services, the PD-5 operates as an NSA Listed Second Stage Hard Drive Destroyer when paired with Garner’s NSA/CSS EPL-listed TS-1XT degausser.
For those not needing NSA level degaussing, the PD-5 can be paired with Garner’s high-volume HD-3XTL degausser or our economical and fast HD-2XT degausser.

Built-in Destruction Verification
Built-in performance checker: Garner’s destroyers have built-in performance verification systems. On-board diagnostics confirm the crush depth of every cycle, ensuring destruction every time.
LCD Screen: Displays cycle count and diagnostics.
SCAN-1X Media Destruction Report software and scanner (optional): Creates media destruction reports with date, time, user ID, serial number, and verification of each cycle.
IRONCLAD Destruction Certificate (optional): Create the ultimate proof-of-destruction reports. Combine the PD-5 hard drive destroyer with Garner’s exclusive IRONCLAD® Destruction Verification with JPG Image Capture System. IRONCLAD creates a Certificate of Destruction Report by compiling user, media, and diagnostic data from the PD-5 hard drive destroyer for auditing and record-keeping purposes.
Optional Solid-State Destruction
Add the SSD-1 patented solid state destroyer. Ninety spikes puncture, perforate, waffle, and demolish individual memory chips on solid-state media, thumb drives, mobile phones, and SSHDs permanently preventing data retrieval.
No Hydraulics
The PD-5 requires no hydraulic fluid to operate, eliminating concerns about messy fluid spills or the need to place the PD-5 on a spill-containment mat. Its rugged, yet lightweight (79 lbs. or 35.9 kg) components and quiet operation make it perfect for data centers and office environments.
